Notes on Terminology

Currently, we use terms such as LGBT+, LGBTQIA+, Queer, Gay, etc interchangably to neutrally refer to people who are any of the following... 

• don’t identify as straight/heterosexual

• identify as being part of the ace spectrum

• don’t identify with the gender which they were assigned to at birth 

• don’t identify with one gender or sex within the binary 

• are questioning their sexual orientation or gender identity
